ANGUILLA
Q. What legal documents do I need to get married?
A. You need a valid passport
• A legal birth certificate
• A valid drivers license

ANTIGUA & BARBUDA

BAHAMAS
Q. What legal documents do I need to get married?
A. A Government issued photo identification issued in the country where both parties reside and evidence of the date of arrival in the Bahamas
• Proof of marital status, proof of divorce or death certificate
• If US citizen, a declaration must be sworn before a U.S Consul at the American Embassy, Nassau, Bahamas
• If citizen or resident of any other country, a declaration must be sworn before a Notary Public or other authorized to administer oaths in that country and must accompany the application for the marriage license
Q. Where do I submit these documents?
A. Marriage licenses are issued at the Office of the Registrar General in Nassau on Mondays at 9:30am – 4:30pm Mondays to Fridays Couples who would like to be married on an outer island can obtain a Marriage License at the Commissioner’s Office on that island. (No need to go to Nassau).
BARBADOS

A. A valid passport or certified copies of birth certificates
• A copy of marriage/death certificate. If divorced, an Original Decree Absolute or a copy of the final judgment

BERMUDA
Q. What legal Documents do I need to get married?
A. Two weeks prior to the wedding, a Notice of Intended Marriage should be filed with the Register General with all applicable fees
• Proof of divorce or death certificate must accompany the Notice of Intended Marriage
Q. How long do I need to stay in the destination before I can get married?
A. Parties to the Intended Marriage are not required to be resident.

The application can be picked up at the Embassy or downloaded on the website: www.bermudatourism.com/weddings/intended_marriage.pdf Completed application form should be sent with a cashier’s check or Bank Draft made payable to: The Accountant General and mailed/hand delivered to: Registrar General, Government Administration Building, 30 Parliament Street, Hamilton HM12, Bermuda. The certificate is valid for three (3) months
BONAIRE
Q. What legal Documents do I need to get married?
A. Copies of passport and birth certificates
• Proof of good conduct
• Proof of single status, e.g. letter from pastor or parent
• Divorce or death certificate if applicable
Q. How long do I need to stay in the destination before I can get married?
A. Either party has to be there for one week and a written request from the Governor of Bonaire at least two months in advance along with three passport photographs of the bride and groom and all the above mentioned documents.

A. There is no residency period. Once the application is received there is an (8) eight day waiting period but the couple does not need to be on the island during that time.

My fiance and I are getting married on Turks and Caicos and I am wondering if we have a family member who is an ordained marriage officer, can he legally marry us in Turks and Caicos? And if so, what is the process etc?

You must have a Marriage Officer from Turks & Caicos present to sign off and make your union legal. Please advise the Turks & Caicos Officiant that you would like to have your family member Officate on your wedding day. However, I would again like to stress that you must have a local Marriage Officer present to sign off and make your marriage legal.
