There are many options when you are thinking of your Caribbean honeymoon.  You can choose a fabulous Caribbean hotel or sail the beautiful azure waters on any number of Caribbean cruise lines.

The cruise industry enjoys a good share of the wedding and honeymoon market for a variety of reasons.  You unpack once, walk to your entertainment, and it is an all-inclusive honeymoon.  You should know shore excursions premium drinks maybe an additional charge depending on the cruise package you purchase.

There is a Caribbean cruise line to suit every taste and budget, but since this this is your honeymoon The Wedding Guru likes to urge readers to consider seleecting a bit more upscale cruise.  It really does make a difference in the cabin selection, itinerary, entertainment, food, ambience and dining experience.

If you are thinking the ideal Caribbean honeymoon would on a cruise visiting a variety of beautiful islands I would encourage you to considering working with your favorite travel agent.  The differnt ports-of-call are as varied as the prices and a good agent can recommend the one cruise line that fits your specific dreams.

Conde Nast Traveler recently published their latest reader survey, naming the best of the best.  Cruise Lines operating in and offering Caribbean honeymoon that made Conde Nast Traveler’s Gold List include:

  • Celebrity Cruise Line
  • Crystal Cruise Line
  • Disney Cruise Line
  • Holland America
  • Oceania Cruise Line
  • Princess Cruise Line
  • Regent Cruise Line
  • Cunard Cruise Line
  • Silversea Cruises
  • Yachts of Seabourn

And please don’t forget – a valid PASSPORT is necessary.  Please make sure your passpoer is up-to-date well in advance of your wedding.  The last thing you want is a last minute rush.  It’s a hassle and rush processing can be expensive.

Can you get married aboard the cruise line?  All the major cruise lines offer Caribbean wedding and honeymoon packages, and they do perform weddings on board when they are in port.

You can get off the cruise and marry in the destination of your choice. This requires planning ahead and making sure all papers are submitted to the destination, to ensure your marriage to be legal.  Another good reason to consult your favorite travel agent.
