Cruise Passengers Can Now Marry in the Turks and Caicos!

GRAND TURK, Turks and Caicos Islands:
Marriage Ordinance allowing couples arriving in the Islands aboard Cruise Ships to apply for a special license for a marriage to be solemnized between them on the same day of their arrival in the Islands.

With the granting of same day wedding licenses and marriages, the Turks and Caicos Islands now join a growing number of destinations revising their marriage laws to accommodate Romance.

Director of Tourism, Ralph Higgs, upon receiving confirmation, stated: “This is great news for the Turks and Caicos and the Grand Turk Cruise Center and we look forward to welcoming couples who are looking to celebrate this important milestone in their lives.  With the crystal, clear blue waters of the Caribbean Sea surrounding our destination, coupled with the appealing and romantic backdrop provided by nature, couples planning on getting married or staying for their honeymoon will certainly have memories to last a lifetime, while enjoying our famous hospitality”.

Same day marriage licenses will be granted to persons who are arriving strictly by cruise and are departing the same day.
