Travel Agents - A Necessary Part of the Planning Process
Congratulations!! You are now embarking on one of life’s new journey and of course you want to make it memorable.
It is very important that whatever your choice, your budget, your desires, this ‘Special’ day be remembered for years to come. After all you will want to share these memories with friends, family members, present and in the future.
Whether it is a Honeymoon or a Destination Wedding, you will want to engage the services of a qualified Travel Service Provider -- a Travel Agent.

WHY USE A TRAVEL AGENT?
For your Caribbean honeymoon which is considered the trip of a lifetime, a good agent will not only book the room, the air and local transportation for you, but they can recommend places to visit, wonderful restaurants in the area and a host of other activities. Where the agent is crucial to this is the selection of your room and most important, day of arrival in the hotel. Your flight arrives in the destination at 10:00am and your room will not be ready until 4:00pm. The Travel Agent would have already contacted the hotel to make sure your room is ready, or make other arrangements so that you can relax and start enjoying the day.
Destination Weddings – it is crucial to have an agent who will co-ordinate all arriving guests, work with the hotel to make sure everything is seamless and in some cases you can even work with the Agent to organize a bridal registry, where if you so desire guests can contribute to you destination wedding or honeymoon.
I CAN GET A BETTER RATE ON THE INTERNET!
A good travel agent will not only find you the same rate or better, but can negotiate amenities and room vista that the internet cannot do or guarantee. As a reminder, this is your wedding or honeymoon and you will want memories to last a lifetime. It is not another quick jaunt to the Caribbean. Your other partner will thank you and remember you fondly for the care you took in making this memorable.
I ALREADY KNOW THE DESTINATION AND THE HOTEL!
Unless you know the Manager of the hotel personally and that he/she will make sure you have the ‘right requested room’ you are better off going to a travel professional who already has a relationship with the hotel and can speak on your behalf.
ISN’T IT EXPENSIVE TO USE A TRAVEL AGENT?
Always remember that in life you get what you pay for. As an example: you are all booked and on your way. Departing flight is on time; however your connection is a problem. I need not go into all the things that happen like flight delays and cancellation, but one call to your Travel Agent who arranged your flight can help smooth the pain in getting you on the next or best available flight. If there is a problem with checking in at the hotel, one call to the agent and everything gets straightened out. And what does the Agent charge for all this service? You spend more at Starbucks.
Your Travel Professional has taken care of all the details, so now relax and enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean.
