Noel Mignott is the founder and CEO of The PM Group, a prominent marketing communications agency in the travel industry. His impressive journey began in his homeland of Jamaica, where he secured his first job with an airline immediately after high school. This early exposure to the travel sector and a strong determination inspired him to pursue higher education in the United States.
Initially enrolling in a Hotel Management program while working at the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York, Mignott’s career trajectory shifted when the Jamaica Tourist Board recruited him as a sales representative. This opportunity marked a turning point, prompting him to change his major to Tourism Marketing, a decision that established the groundwork for his enduring impact in the industry.
With extensive expertise in marketing communications, Mignott has collaborated with the private and public sectors throughout his career. His agency represents several private sector entities and Caribbean government tourism clients. Expanding beyond the Caribbean, the agency has managed prestigious international accounts.
Before founding The PM Group, Mignott spent over twenty years with the Jamaica Tourist Board. During his tenure, he advanced from Sales Representative to District Manager, then Regional Sales Manager, and ultimately Deputy Director of Tourism. In this senior role, he led global initiatives across Sales, Advertising, and Public Relations, an experience that still informs his leadership today.
In addition to his corporate success, Mignott achieved a personal dream by opening Bambout, a Caribbean fusion fine dining restaurant in Manhattan. Within weeks of its launch, the New York Times awarded it two stars, and the restaurant quickly became a favorite among celebrities.
Mignott’s contributions to the travel industry have garnered widespread recognition. Among his many honors are the Order of Distinction from the Government of Jamaica for extraordinary service, the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Jamaica College, and the International Achievement Award from the American Friends of Jamaica. He has also been named Male Personality of the Year by The Caribbean Voice, Caribbean Person of the Year by Travel Agent Magazine and Caribbean Today, and recognized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization for his exceptional efforts in promoting regional tourism.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mignott is a devoted family man. He resides in New York City with his wife, Ava Joy Gill.
